Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. She was the home of her mother and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick started singing and performing at a very young age. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6. This led to a call from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 when she starred in a TV commercial featuring Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the eldest daughter of the towheaded trio in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The run of five years for The Brady Bunch was an enormous great success. McCormick wrote in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show to Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother.
