Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Her budget was supplemented with a student stipend and part-time jobs. Lennox believed that her abilities weren't as good as those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other paths she could take. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. The band did not make it to the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. She was the lead singer for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut album Diva. It came out in 1993. It was an enormous hit, both in terms of the sales as well as critically acclaimed. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's most loved blues, jazz and soul songs from her childhood. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, through her debut album Diva. It included a number of popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and What's the Matter with You. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including"No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with six studio albums solo and a compilation. |
